U88 Glossary: Registration, KYC and Funding Terms

Which terms come up when I register and fund a U88 account?
The same thirty words keep appearing between the sign-up form and the first withdrawal, and half the support chats on the platform are really a definition problem. A player reads "12x turnover", assumes it means twelve bets, and is surprised when a withdrawal holds. Another sends USDT on the wrong network because "TRC-20" looked like decoration. Registration and identity
Account registration
Opening a player account by completing the operator's sign-up form. At U88 the form asks for a full name, a Malaysian phone number or email address, and a password, and it allows one account per person; the name typed here is the name later withdrawals are paid to.
KYC (Know Your Customer)
The regulatory practice of confirming who a customer is before money is paid out to them. Operators use it to stop fraud, underage play and the use of someone else's bank account.
Account verification
KYC as a player experiences it: a photo of a government-issued ID, sometimes proof of address, and a screen proving the payout account is yours. At U88 it runs once, before the first withdrawal, and is not repeated for later payouts.
One-time password (OTP)
A short code sent by SMS or email to confirm a registration, a login or a change of details. It expires within minutes and should never be read out to anyone, including a caller claiming to be support.
Payout name match
The rule that the name on the receiving bank account or e-wallet must equal the name on the player account. A mismatch is the most common reason a first U88 withdrawal is held, and it is fixed by correcting the profile through live chat.
Third-party withdrawal
A payout sent to a bank account or e-wallet belonging to someone other than the account holder. U88 declines these regardless of the relationship, which is why the registered name has to be your own.
Age verification (18+)
The check that a player is at least 18. U88 takes a date of birth at registration and confirms it against the ID sent at the one-time identity check, so an account opened with a false date does not survive its first withdrawal request.
Duplicate account
A second account opened by someone who already holds one, found through matching identity documents, bank accounts, devices or IP addresses. U88 merges an honest duplicate into the original and freezes one opened to farm a bonus, removing the promotional value.
Funding: deposits and withdrawals
Minimum deposit
The smallest single top-up the cashier accepts. At U88 it is RM30 across the listed deposit channels.
Minimum withdrawal
The smallest payout the cashier will process. At U88 it is RM50, available once the one-time identity check has cleared.
Deposit and withdrawal caps
The upper limits on how much moves in one transaction or one day. U88 publishes RM50,000 for deposits and RM50,000 per transaction and per day for withdrawals, with at most three withdrawals a day.
Touch 'n Go eWallet
The e-wallet most Malaysians already carry for tolls and parking, run by TNG Digital. At U88 it is a deposit channel from RM30 that credits almost immediately once the transfer is approved inside the TNG app; Boost, GrabPay and ShopeePay are not accepted.
DuitNow
Malaysia's real-time interbank transfer network, operated by PayNet, which moves money between any two Malaysian banks in seconds using a phone number, IC number or QR code. U88 lists DuitNow as a deposit channel in its own right.
FPX (Financial Process Exchange)
The Malaysian online banking gateway that redirects you to your own bank to approve a payment, then returns you to the merchant. It is the rail behind Maybank2u and other online banking deposits, and the U88 cashier lists Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB and Hong Leong.
ATM / cash deposit
Paying cash, or transferring at a bank's cash deposit machine, to the account details shown in the cashier and then submitting the receipt reference. U88 lists it as a deposit option; keep the machine slip until the balance updates.
USDT TRC-20
Tether, a US-dollar stablecoin, sent over the Tron network. U88 accepts USDT on TRC-20 with a minimum of 100 USDT and converts it to MYR on confirmation; the same coin sent on ERC-20 or BEP-20 is not supported and may be lost.
Transaction reference
The ID your bank, e-wallet or the blockchain issues the moment a transfer succeeds. It is the single thing support needs to trace a deposit that has left your account but has not credited.
Bonuses and turnover
Welcome bonus
A match on a new member's first deposit, claimed once. At U88 it splits by product: 100% up to RM800 at 12x turnover on sports and slots, 50% up to RM300 at 25x on live casino, and 150% up to RM300 at 8x winover on 918Kiss.
Turnover (rollover)
The total value of bets placed, counted across rounds, that a bonus condition requires before the related balance can be withdrawn. U88 works the welcome bonus multiple on deposit plus bonus, so RM100 in and RM100 bonus at 12x means RM2,400 in bets.
Transfer page
The screen inside the U88 platform where a promotion is attached to a deposit before play. The operator's terms say the welcome bonus is claimed here with no betting before claiming, and that once deposit and bonus are committed to the chosen product they stay there until the turnover is complete.
Winover
A bonus condition, common on 918Kiss-style offers, where the balance has to reach a stated multiple rather than total stakes reaching one. U88 quotes 8x winover on its 918Kiss welcome bonus and uses that term rather than turnover.
Slots withdrawal cap
The most that can be withdrawn from play under a particular promotion. U88's slots welcome bonus caps withdrawals at RM10,000; anything above that figure is deducted by the system.
Daily cash rebate
A percentage of valid turnover returned every day, win or lose. At U88 it runs up to 1.00% depending on tier and game, is withdrawable from RM50 and carries no turnover requirement of its own.
Bonus validity
The window in which a bonus's turnover has to be completed. U88 promotions are valid for 30 days from issue; unfinished turnover at expiry removes the bonus funds and any winnings made from them.
Limits and player controls
Deposit limit
A cap a player sets on how much they can deposit per day, week or month. At U88 it is requested through 24/7 live chat; lowering a limit takes effect at once and raising one waits for a cooling period.
Cooling-off
A short voluntary pause on an account, typically days or weeks, during which you cannot deposit or receive marketing while your balance stays untouched.
Self-exclusion
A longer voluntary block on your own account for a period you choose. During self-exclusion you cannot log in, deposit or be sent offers, and by design it is not reversed early.

One-wallet
